The ‘Toys’ We Use to Make Classes Fun
Licensed with SASFA
SA Senior Fitness Association
SASFA’s aim, as an organisation, is to bring an experience of well-being and friendship to every South African senior, by presenting exercise and recreational programs in a relaxed environment.
Members can release tensions, stresses and anxieties that may be troubling them. Physical exercise plays an important part in maintaining the health of the body — just as important as social well-being.
Our senior instructors are all fully trained and must hold a national certificate.
Patricia Victor
SASFA Instructor since 2013
I joined SASFA in 2012 having been introduced to the classes by Ann Maud. I enjoyed the classes so much that I trained for the instructor’s exam in June 2013 and have been leading classes ever since.
We have much variety in the classes with “rah rah sticks”, “ferra bands”, “twizzle sticks”, balls, hoops and weights which make them even more fun. The music is old favourites of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. As you can see from the testimonials below, my Super Troupers enjoy everything to the fullest.
2026 started with a bang, with lots of new ladies joining the classes and several fun events planned for the year.
